James has a broad spectrum of corporate law experience across a variety of business sectors, having worked for a number of years as a general corporate practitioner at several major City firms.
Having trained at Eversheds, James joined the London office of Morgan Lewis, one of the top 20 law firms in the United States, gaining valuable experience in cross-border corporate acquisition and finance transactions for major US corporations and banks.
After four years, he moved to the corporate department at Denton Wilde Sapte (now SNR Denton). Here, James’ work encompassed private company acquisitions and reorganisations, public company takeovers and joint venture transactions, as well as advising domestic and international AIM-listed and private companies, and high net worth individuals, on a variety of general corporate matters.
Kavita trained at Simons, Muirhead & Burton and qualified in 2006 in their Corporate department where she acted on private M&A transactions. Before joining LexisNexis as a Corporate PSL, she worked (as a fee-earning solicitor) in the Corporate team at King & Wood Mallesons (legacy Mallesons Stephen Jaques) for a number of years where she advised and acted on a broad range of corporate matters, including private M&A, private equity transactions, regulatory and general corporate matters.
Ed has a background in economics and law, having held positions at the Government Economic Service, Freshfields, Olswang, the FSA and the University of Law. He has significant experience as a professional development consultant, designing and delivering traditional or multimedia training sessions, both independently and for intermediaries such as CLT, BPP, Kaplan and Informa. Specialisations include company law and compliance, corporate governance, financial regulation and contract law.
Tara is a corporate lawyer who has advised on a wide range of domestic and international transactions, including private mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, reorganisations, takeovers and IPOs. She also has broad experience of general company and contractual matters.
Tara qualified at Denton Wilde Sapte (now SNR Denton), where she worked for a number of years as an associate and spent time on secondment to the legal departments of two clients, gaining valuable in-house experience. Tara then moved to Clifford Chance, joining them as a Corporate PSL.
Eleanor trained at Nabarro LLP and qualified in their Corporate team, where she worked on a wide range of corporate transactions and general company advisory matters. She also gained in-house experience on secondments to clients of the firm.
Eleanor’s specific experience includes advising on reductions of capital, striking-off and dissolution, public company takeovers (including by way of scheme of arrangement), general meetings of listed, unlisted and private companies, group reorganisations, share buybacks and private company share and asset sales and acquisitions.
Daniel is a corporate lawyer who has acted for a variety of different UK and international clients. His broad experience includes advising on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, corporate financing, joint ventures, takeovers, reorganisations, insurance, Main Market and AIM IPOs and various general corporate matters. Daniel qualified at Slaughter and May, where he worked for a number of years as an associate. He later moved to Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP where he further developed his corporate and project finance expertise.
Claudia is a corporate lawyer with significant experience advising on the full range of corporate transactions, specialising in equity capital markets. She has spent over 15 years working in private practice at Nabarro LLP, Pinsent Masons and Trowers & Hamlins, latterly as a corporate PSL. Claudia also worked at the UK Listing Authority advising companies and their advisers on the interpretation of the Listing Rules and on secondment at a corporate broking and advisory house.
